

Karen L. Lee was born Karen Lee Logsdon in Omaha, Nebraska on June 5, 1940 to Leonard Harold Logsdon and Florence Anieta (Collings) Logsdon. Karen grew up in the Methodist Church and at one time taught preschoolers services. She lived in Green River, Wyoming where her parents worked for Union Pacific Railroad during World War II. They also lived in Marshalltown, Iowa, Waterloo, Iowa, Austin, Minnesota, and Yankton, South Dakota, where Karen graduated high school in 1958. After moving back to Omaha, Nebraska with her son, Tony Lee, she worked in public relations at Bishop Clarkson Memorial Hospital, before becoming Director of Volunteer Service and Manager of the Service League Gift Shop.
Memorials in Karen's honor are suggested to the Nebraska Humane Society or Nebraska Boston Terrier Rescue.
