When I filled out my application to attend Pensacola Christian college they asked the question, " Who is your biggest hero in the faith" (or something like that). My immediate response was that Kyle Ficek was my biggest hero. My big brother showed me what it meant to serve the Lord and five yourself to full time Christian service. He would correct me when I went astray, even if that meant lifting me up to the ceiling with one arm. He was also always praying for me and encouraging me. When I told him I was dating my wife (Neilea Burns Ficek) he had the best encouraging response, "No way...I can't believe that. Didn't think you had it in you". Thats when I knew I had done good. Thank you Kyle for always caring about me. You still are a hero!

Kyle was an amazing person to work with. He was hardworking, patient, and kind. We are really going to miss him at 3M. 

Kyle was always a blessing and encouragement to my life. As a gentle servant of the Lord with an enormous heart to reach people for Christ it was impossible not to like him. Our church family has nothing but the fondest memories of Kyle, his family and his ministry. We are praying for all of his loved ones, especially Jennifer and the children. 

First thing I thought of was my dad Arthur Mann talking often of how very happy he was that Kyle and Jennifer were going to Guyana to do the work his heart wanted to do but he couldn’t. When he received your missionary letter giving updates he always read it with a smile. He would say remember Ret. Kyle and Jennifer are to be who my memorial is to go to. I would say yes dad. Kyle and Jennifer thank you. I am sure dad and Kyle are sitting together talking of Guyana. Hugs and prayers to you all.
