So sorry for your loss. I was just thinking of Andy and David this past week and then my mom told me that Andy ran into Chip.  Condolences.

Although I knew Larry for only 25 years -- a short time as measured by Nebraska standards -- he was one of the kindest people I ever knew, and a man with a heart that could fill a football field.  I do hope that people fighting the death penalty in Nebraska will redouble their efforts -- let's win this one for Larry.  That is the type of tribute he would like -- do permanent good for others in his memory.  He leads us on.

Larry ['58 WHS] served as a fine role model for all in school; those of us who were younger [me '61, sister '62] learned much from his calm and kind manner. "Thorny" [Ron Thorngren, also '61], from his guest book tribute, obviously knew Larry better, but though my contact was far less, the conclusion is the same: What a great guy was Larry Myers.

My deepest condolances to Mariana, Andrew and Suzy.  Larry's parents Virgie and Larry, SR. were both "such a Love".
I received a voice mail at midnight that Larry had passed away.  I am very saddened and in shock.  I am out of town and it is impossible for me to attend the Memorial service this morning.
Larry and I have been great friends since we roomed together at the University of Nebraska when Larry was in Law School and I was in Dental School.  I will remember the many, many great times we shared.  Thanks for being such a wonderful friend.
I will miss you and I will always love you.  Nebraska has lost a loving, generous, fabulous person.

Larry was such an enthusastic man! He gave his all to everything he did! His infectious laugh was so enjoyable. We enjoyed his discussions of important issues. He supported vital causes and political campaigns. Remember the Zorinsky campaign! What great memories of Larry. Anne and I will remember his wit and dedication to helping others live a full life.

     My deepest sympathy goes out to all you and your family in this life changing time.  I have known Larry my entire life it seems, as well as Andy, David and you Mariana.  He has been as a second father to me, and a part of my family history also, the entire time I have known him.  I believe I was 8 years old when he became my T-ball coach at the YMCA and through the years with Larry at my side, his wit, his knowledge, and his un-believable heart have inspired me.  This is extremely difficult for me to write, knowing I will not be able to attend the funeral tomorrow at 11 am, and knowing I will never speak to him again.  I loved him like a son would his father.  The last conversation I had with him was late last year.  We talked for about an hour on the phone, I believe before he and you, Mariana, went to see Andy.  Then I received a picture from your trip there.  He and you looked really great and so very happy.  I was able to see him and have lunch at Rockbrook villiage in may of 2012 when I made a trip to Omaha.  That will be the last time I ever see him.

He was always been very supportive of me, and my life adventures, and gave me advice along the way that I have followed still to this day and will throughout my life.  I don't think there is a time I have failed to remember being with him all these 30 plus years.  The times at your house, playing pool, going to the country club, eating at Godfathers in Rockbrook Villiage, meeting him at Bob Gibsons restaurant, meeting him for breakfast in Regency on a weekly basis at the hotel, playing ball with him as my coach, working with him at Countryside Villiage doing maintenance on the property when I was a general contractor in Omaha and especially our trip to Manhattan New York for a week.  There is a book full of memories racing in my mind with the Myers family in them.  Through Communication with him, I have been able to keep up with you Andy, and your success as well as you Mariana.  God Bless you all.

This world has lost one of the greatest men to walk this earth.  You all are in my prayers, and be assured; you, as well as Larry, will forever be in my heart.  Larry, you will never be forgotten.

Mr. Myers and his family recently sent my brother a cake for the passing of our father and neighbor the Myers, Jerome P. Grossman.  Our father always spoke fondly of Mr. Myers.  Our hearts go out to you.

The "small town in the city" is saddened by the passing of Larry Myers.  Small business retail has lost a champion.  He will be remembered for his passion, his encouragement and his generous spirit. He made a difference in many lives and will be missed.

My prayers and thoughts are with the family. I grew up with his sister and their family. When my daughter was killed in 1995 Larry sent a note and a book. The book was "Why bad things happen to good people" He will be remembered with Love.

Larry was my coach, my friend, and a constant part of my life since 1976. He never forgot me, ignored me, or left me behind.  I have never put Larry on a pedestal and no one is perfect, but he was a gentle soul, a valued friend, and a man for others.  He lived his life, in my observation, in constant pursuit of reaching out to those he knew as if to tell them, in his way, that he loved them and valued them. I will never forget his warmth and the way he watched me grow from a boy into a man with a constantly encouraging and hopeful eye. Larry Myers was a great man and I will never forget him.

I was so saddened to hear of Larry's passing.... Having known Larry and staying in touch with him for over 50 years, coaching our sons together in football, baseball and basketball, attending Husker football games and simply having lunch together I saw first hand, over those years, his generosity and dedication to the young people he had mentored and what a great example he was. Three weeks ago Larry send me a note along with a book, Notes to Myself, telling me how many times over the years he has reread this book and how I should share it with others...That's how Larry was..My most sincere sympathy to your whole family and my God bless him and you all.

I am saddened to learn of Larry's passing. Having helped Larry with design projects, large and small, at Countryside Village and elswhere over forty-some years, I came to know him as a wise, enthusiastic, creative, and generous man. My family, like many others, was invited to enjoy the use of his apartment overlooking the Plaza in Kansas City.  Our deep condolences to all who knew and loved Larry. He will be very much missed, and fondly remembered.
