Larry Wrieth

He was born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Omaha, NE on February 17, 1956. He attended Belle Ryan Elementary, Norris Junior High and then went to Ryan High School, later attaining his GED.

After high school, Larry went to work with his dad at Center Street Auto Glass, where he worked on and off until shortly after his father’s passing. In between working with his dad, he worked at Harding Glass and Omaha Auto Auction. He eventually started working at Eckley Auto Sales, where he grew many friendships and connections until his passing. Larry was very talented and mechanically inclined.

Larry loved his family and friends and would not hesitate to drop everything to go help one of them. He was loyal, generous and caring. He was never in a hurry and really took the time to be in the moment with you. He rarely let you leave without something to remember your visit with him that day.

A true lover of nature, Larry loved hunting, camping, collecting rocks (among other things) and generally being outdoors. He especially enjoyed the countless weekends camping with his children and at the old farm, as well as the many hunting days he spent with his dad, his friend Steve Stodola and nephew, Chad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Sharon Wrieth; brother, Kevin Wrieth; and one sister, Carol Anderson.

Larry is survived by his son, Ryan Wrieth; daughter, Lindsay Tritz (Matt); two grandchildren Cooper and Parker; one sister, Cindy Ciechomski (Neil); nephew, Chad Wrieth (Tania) and their daughter Cortni; niece, Michelle Parker Hill (Ricky) and their children Cynthia, Angel and Kora; nephew, Mitchell Anderson (Chelsea) and their children Caswell, Kincaid, Erhardt and Hendrix; niece, Makayla Blank and her children Alivea, Brooklyn and Callie; and many extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am on August 11, 2026, at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.

Larry will be laid to rest at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery, 2300 South 78th St, Omaha.
