Margaret "Peggy" Godsil

She was born in Geneseo, IL, on June 28th, 1964, the daughter of the late Jerome & Mardell Werner.

Peggy was a 1982 graduate of Cambridge High School Cambridge, IL, and went on to Robert Morris College to earn her Secretarial Certificate in 1983. She recently retired from Learning without Tears as an Accounting Specialist in 2025 after 19 years.

Although she was tremendous at her job, her most proud and prized position was Mom. She was able to be a stay at home Mom with her boys during formative years, and enjoyed stepping into the role of Grandma Peg. Her family was everything to her, and loved spending time & traveling with them.

Survivors include her husband Michael Godsil, who she married on June 28th, 1986. Two sons Mathias (Shannon) Godsil of Papillion, NE, and Caleb (Kristine) Godsil of Highlands Ranch, CO. One grandchild, Jerome Godsil of Papillion, NE, and one on the way for Caleb & Kristine. Four sisters Mary Ann (Jim) Clifton, Sandy (Johnny) Dell, Janet (Paul) Vanderschaaf, & Eleanor Melton. Five brothers James (Cheri) Werner, Robert (Rose) Werner, Daniel (Carolyn) Werner, Paul Werner, & Kenneth (Teresa) Werner.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by one brother Michael (Sue) Werner. All of her siblings could never forget, she was her Mother’s favorite.

A visitation will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, located at 5701 Center Street, Omaha, Nebraska, 68106, on November 20, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Private services will be held.
