Mary was an inspiration to many, many people, including me, during her lifetime.
Her service during WW II and her civilian life, her caring spirit, her wit, her love of books, enjoyment of opera and other musicals, were the bedrock of her 98 years of living.
Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were a joy to her. She loved each and every one of them.
I will always treasure her friendship, which I had the honor and enjoyment of for nearly 50 years. My love of her as a friend will remain in my heart the rest of my life.
Prayers for her extended family, especially my good and caring friend Katie, to keep wonderful memories of Mary uppermost in their hearts and minds.
