Michael D. Yoder passed away April 22, 2019 in Omaha, Nebraska. He was born August 19, 1948 in Richmond, Indiana. He married his high school sweetheart, Mary Kay, on June 22, 1968. They had two children, Jeffrey Michael and Cynthia Kay. Mike joined the United States Air Force in 1967 and served overseas duty in Thailand during Vietnam. He retired MSgt as a hydraulic plane mechanic in 1987. He then worked at OPPD Fort Calhoun Nuclear Power Plant as a security guard and machinist for 19 years. Mike enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing and casino slots. His biggest joy in life was spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson.
Mike is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Kay; children Jeffrey (Tanya) Yoder, Cindy (Chad) McCumbers; sister, Jacquelin Cooper; grandchildren, Montana Alexander, August Yoder, Skyler Yoder and Allen McCumbers; and great-grandson, Aiden Alexander; nephews, Mark (Carol) Cooper, Gary (Rachael) Cooper, and Bryan Clark; and many friends and co-workers.
Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, April 28th, 2019 at 3 pm at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home.
