Mike Warren

Michael “Mike” Warren, a beloved husband, family member, friend, and true gentleman, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2026, at the age of 59. Known for his warm smile, soft heart, and unwavering kindness, Mike touched the lives of everyone who was lucky enough to know him.

A lifelong fan of college sports, Mike’s passion shone brightest when baseball season rolled around. Whether cheering from the stands at the College World Series or watching from his favorite chair at home, he found joy in every pitch, every play, and every team rivalry. His favorite team was Florida State. His love for the game was matched only by his love for the holidays. Christmas was his favorite, and it was more than just a day for Mike—it was a feeling he carried year-round. Setting up his Christmas village was one of his most cherished traditions. He would place each piece with care, and he loved to look for new pieces every year to add to his collection.

Country music was another passion of Mike’s. You would find heartfelt Christian ballads mixed in his playlist, but his favorites were the traditional country western songs.

Mike was a cancer survivor - a testament to his resilience and unshakable spirit. He approached life’s challenges with optimism and grace, inspiring others to do the same. Friends and family often described him as “one-of-a-kind”—a man whose generosity, humor, and sincerity left an enduring mark on every heart he touched.

He was happiest when he was with Connie. He loved to travel and vacation with her…even if it was for just a day trip somewhere fun and unusual. It didn’t matter what they did, as long as they were together.

Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Clubb; his father, Roy Warren; brothers-in-law John Simmons and Kieth Simmons.

Mike is survived by his wife, Connie; his son, Logan; his brother, Clifford (Misty) Warren; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Sylvia Simmons, Mary McNamee, Suzanne (Larry) Cain, Paul (Jan) Simmons, and Kathleen (Ken) Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. They will forever treasure his memory and carry forward his legacy of kindness and joy.

Mike’s life was a beautiful game—played with heart and lived with love.

Visitation will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Funeral Service will follow at 1:00 pm. Entombment will follow at Westlawn-Hillcrest Mausoleum.
