She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Dillard and James, and sisters Dixie and Marsha.
JoAnne married Leon Stilen at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lebanon, Missouri on July 30, 1955. They moved to Omaha in 1959.
JoAnne received training to become a computer operator, and was employed by Hawkins Construction Company where she worked for more than 30 years.
JoAnne and Leon loved to travel, and she was fortunate to have taken many cruises and road trips with him, seeing much of the USA and the world.
JoAnne is survived by Leon her husband of 70 years, their three children and their spouses: Becky (Kirk Nicholson), Karen (Randy Johnson), and Craig (Sue Ladehoff); nine grandchildren: Matthew, Thomas, Joseph (Stephanie), Timothy (Amy), Sarah (Dave), Michael (Sarah), Taylor (Cara), Calvin, and Rosalyn; and five great-grandchildren: Carrick, Kylie, Cayden, Maddisen, and Logan, and one brother, Randle Sweaney (Brenda) of Buffalo, Missouri.
