Patrick Edward Reilly

Patrick attended Vinton Elementary and Omaha South High School, graduating in 1954. He was a proud Packer and SOB (South Omaha Boy). He was a member of the 1954 METZ City Championship team with district honors at 1st base.

Patrick joined the Marines directly out of high school in June of 1954 and attended Paris Island for basic training and deployed to Pearl Harbor. He was honorably discharged in July 1956.

Patrick was employed at Continental Can Co/Crown Cork and Seal until his retirement in 2002. Pat was and avid Husker and Red Sox Fan and enjoyed playing the ponies especially when AKSARBEN used to have live racing.

Preceded in death by father, Daniel M Reilly; mother, Bernice B Reilly (Kranda); first wife, Sherleen Sue Reilly (Chance); and second wife, Jan Wright (Galloway).

Patrick is survived by son, Daniel Edward Reilly; daughter, Mary Kathryn Reilly (Chris Costigan); granddaughter, Brooke; stepchildren, Jim Wright and Becky Wright (English); several nieces and nephews; and lifelong close friend, Rose Hamilton.

A visitation for Patrick will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A funeral service will occur Thursday, September 7, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A private family burial will occur.
