Phyllis Lee Lemon

Phyllis (Granny) Lemon was born on July 3, 1941, in Omaha, Nebraska, to William and Phyllis Heeren. As the last surviving child of seven siblings, she became a pillar of strength and support for her family from a young age.

At 16 years old, Phyllis met the love of her life, Bernie Lemon. Their enduring partnership became the foundation of a devoted family. Phyllis was a key caregiver and beloved matriarch to her own children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Phyllis and Bernie were blessed with three children: Kathy Troutman, Richard Lemon, and Cheryl Blacketer. She was the proud grandmother to four grand-children Calvin Troutman (and Jesse Troutman), Jacob Blacketer (and Melissa Blacketer), Chelsey Wynn (and John Wynn), and Jared Blacketer (and Sarah Blacketer) and great-grandmother to eleven cherished great-grandchildren: Braydon, Colton, Maddie, Jaqulynn, Jeremiah, Jameson, Jace, Kimmy, Reagan, Savannah, and Delaney.

Her loving and caring nature strengthened family bonds across generations, making her the heart and center of countless gatherings filled with stories, laughter, and cherished memories.

When not pouring her energy into family, Phyllis enjoyed frequenting the local farmer's market, growing beautiful flowers and assorted vegetables in her garden, and spending time outdoors.

Phyllis will always be remembered for her unwavering love, selflessness, and the warmth she brought to everyone around her.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Bernie Lemon; her children Kathy Troutman (and Doug Troutman), Richard Lemon (and Heather Lemon), and Cheryl Blacketer (and Roger Blacketer); her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Phyllis leaves behind a lifetime of fulfilled stories, cherished memories, and a legacy of love that will continue to unite her family.

A visitation will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, on March 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106, on March 23, 2026, at 12:30 pm.

Final resting place will be at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center St, Omaha.
