When Shawn was little he loved dinosaurs and thought maybe one day he would be a police officer. He always had a big smile to share, a silly spirit and thought he was always the strongest. He was a big protector of his mom and sisters Kélis, Khalia and Rhiley.
He was an awesome artist, loved superheroes and being active in sports. He had a major love for anime, Marvel and gaming. Once Shawn graduated from high school he decided to join the Army. He did all his paperwork and excelled at all his testing. He told me one of his reasons for joining the Army was to take care of his family. He left home for the first time and traveled from Omaha to Atlanta and North Carolina. He would share his hopes of being able to travel overseas one day. He graduated from Airborne and wanted to become a Masterjumper. He was a natural athlete and leader. Shawn shared he wanted to challenge himself and train for Ranger school.
He lived his life to the fullest, always wanting to try and learn new things. He really loved "his girls" and made sure he knew what was going on back home even though he wasn't here. Shawn was proud to be in the military and his ability to be independent and knowing the world was his to conquer and experience to the fullest.
He is tremendously missed by many but we remain proud of him. Mom loves you Son.
