Preceded in death by loving wife of 56 years, Marilyn Abbey (Goehring); parents, Elmer and Cecelia Abbey; and brothers, Mark and Ron Abbey.
Survived by sister, Judy Sealock; children, Cindy, Chris, Douglas (Tygur) Abbey; 9 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Rex will be held Thursday, December 5, 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106. A mausoleum committal service will occur Friday, December 6, 2024 at 10:00 AM at Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center St, Omaha, Nebraska 68106.
