Norma, just heard about Rich. I will always remember the great times we shared over the years. Thinking of your family.

Norma, my arms and heart are reaching out to you ~ I am so sorry you have lost your Rich. As we all often said, we were so blessed to have over 20 wonderful Okoboji Summers together as best neighbors and Lake Family ~ and you were like surrogate grandparents to our kids as they grew up. I will miss our many impromptu evening visits and our Gingham Inn birthday and anniversary celebrations. Well, I guess we celebrated a lot of other places too ~ I'll never forget that evening we went to dinner at Minerva's, and you and Rich entranced and entertained the whole bar with your endless repertoire of bawdy duet ditties! No one could do them better than you guys! We had great fun this last summer too! Much love to you and your Family ~ Mike, Mark, Mitch, Colleen, and your wonderful Grandkids. Wishing all of you Blessings, Peace, and Comfort ~ Rich was a good friend and a good man, who left a kind mark on many. I will miss him a lot. Take Care . . .

I have known Rich, Norma and their boys since the middle 60s growing up in Red Oak.Iowa. If it wasn't for Rich running the Grand Theater and Red Oak Drive In, all us teenagers wouldn't have had much to do. It was my honor accompanying him on the Honor Flight and catching up. He was a proud veteran and will be missed.

Where do I begin? Have known the Johnson family for more years than I want to admit! Knew Rich's Mom as she was a good friend of my Mom!
Rich and Norma were friends of. My late husband, Phil Armknecht. We have many years of friendships between us ,
Prayers to Norma and the boys,

Evonne and I had the honor of taking Rich on the Heartland Honor Flight to D.C. a few years ago. My brother Dan has a photo of the two of them at the WWII Memorial.
Good guy, proud Marine. Evonne and I are very sorry for your loss. Our condolences Norma and boys.
