He graduated from Malvern High School. Bob moved from Malvern to Council Bluffs after graduation where he married Elaine Lee. They were blessed with four children; Teresa, Rodney, Robin and Lori. Bob later married Patricia Ludlow of Omaha and became a father to her son Allen. Bob worked several jobs, often working two jobs at a time to support his family. Bob eventually began a career with the Department of Agriculture where he worked for several years as a Federal Meat Inspector. After moving to a supervisor position, Bob retired from the Department of Agriculture at 57 years of age. Bob enjoyed fishing and fixing lawnmowers and other small engine equipment in his garage. Along with his wife Pat, Bob helped with activities for special needs children and supported their son Allen as he worked to earn several medals in the Special Olympics. Bob left this earth to be with his Lord September 13th, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Howard and Aleen (Bartholomew) Biggerstaff, by his wife Patricia (Collins) Shere, brothers Harold, Jack and Danny, by children Robin Cedar and Allen Ludlow, sons-in-law Joe Jennings, Frank Ceder, Jack Barnes and Tim Reynolds. Bob is survived by his sister Angie Matulevicz, his children Teresa Jennings, Lori Shere and Rodney Shere with his wife Dawn. He is also survived by grandchildren Chris Bussing, Jeremy Shere, Jessica Zajac, Andy Ceder, Joe Ceder, Jamie Barnes and Amy Auen, along with 12 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren and many other relatives and good friends. In lieu of flowers, the family would suggest donations to the Special Olympics.
