Ron was a member of the Army National Guard for 28 years and spent much of his working years as an employee of Western Electric and US West. He was a devoted and loving husband to Genny for 41 years. They loved to travel and particularly enjoyed visiting the National Parks and Tahoe.
Ron is loved by Genny (wife); Ryan Herman (son) and his family, Shelly, Haley (Trever) and Ashley (Jason and Emerson); Trista Anderson (daughter) and her family, Rick, Austin (Zoey and Scarlett), Luke (Dana, Rowan and Weston), AJ (Sophia and Hayden), Madison (Andrew, Sunday and Indie); Michael Custard (bonus son) and his family (Monica, Dylan, Aubre and Jens); Scott Custard (bonus son); and Lori Martin (bonus daughter), late husband Jon; and many other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Ron’s life will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 12 PM to 3 PM at the Clubhouse Lounge, 3936 North 90th Street in Omaha, Nebraska.
