Sandra was preceded in death by her sons, Gary and Dennis; parents, Tilford and Juanita Carter; and siblings, Donald Carter, Jerry Carter, Mary (Pat) Branting, and James Carter.
She is survived by her children, Dennis "Kelly" Sutton, Jerry (Donna) Sutton, Lisa (Joe) Hotz, and James "Jimmy" Sutton; grandchildren Mike Salkauskas, Brad (Amanda) Roberts, Taylor (Cole) Hotz, and Logan (Kelsey) Hotz; great-grandchildren, Lilah Salkauskas, Kolsen Millard, and Jace Hotz; her beloved cat, Cuddles; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Sandra retired from Douglas County Hospital where she served for many years as an Environmental Services technician.
Please join us in celebrating Sandra's life. Visitation will be held at Westlawn-Hillcrest Funeral Home on Sunday, July 12, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and the Funeral Service will be held there on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 11:00 am.
Final resting place will be Westlawn-Hillcrest Memorial Park, 5701 Center Street, Omaha.
