My grandma has showed me what unconditional love feels like. She always made sure her grandchildren were happy and cared for. Scratching our backs when we couldn’t sleep. Feeding us at all times. Keeping her home jolly and bright during the holidays. Cutting fresh Peonies every Spring for me. Making her home feel like my home. Grandma Sonnie and Grandpa Joe, you are so loved. Thank you for everything, I will forever be changed by your love.

My heart is at ease knowing that Grandma Sonnie and Grandpa Joe are now together in heaven. I have the fondest of memories at their house growing up and all the holidays we have spent together. When Blair and I were young and had sleepovers at grandma's and grandpa's they spoiled us; we would stay up late enjoying popcorn and icecream sundaes with whip cream, chocolate syrup and maraschino cherries. I will never forget the hundreds of cookies Grandma would make for Christmas (I will try my best carry on her legend). When Grandpa was still with us we made goulash and they shared the secret ingriednt with me. I will hold all the memories in my heart. This past September my kids ( August age 8 and Althea age 5) were lucky enough to see their Great Grandma Sonnie one last time. Grandma Sonnies face sure did light up with sound of their laughter and their smiling faces. I love you Grandma Sonnie with all my heart.

Sending my love to all you from California.

I went to high school with her daughter Sheri ( one of my best friends ) I spent some time at “The Kalinski’s” home. Mrs Kalinski took me in when I had gotten into a silly teenage fight with my parents and let me stay there until we got every thing worked out. She was the first person to let me drink real coffee. It was wonderful. Still love coffee. She was just like having another mom only cooler. She had a funny thing about her living room carpet being raked , even I did it a few times. She was a wonderful beautiful lady inside and out. God Bless and condolences to the family.

I'm sorry to hear of Sondra's passing. I worked with her at Ak-Sar-Ben and Horseman's Park for many years. What a fine person she was. Thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this most difficult time. Take care...

To family and friends of Aunt Sonnie,

I am so sorry. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I have such good memories of Aunt Sonnie (and Uncle Joe!). She was smart, funny and very witty! I can remember visiting her at the bank at Sears when I was little with my mom. And family Christmases with the Gallagher clan were the best!

I will miss her but am comforted she is with Joe and they're taking care of each other.
