Kipling Sr, Thomas Rudyard USMC GySgt (Ret) June 1, 1927 – April 30, 2014 Passed away in Daphne, AL. 20 year Marine Corp Veteran serving in WW II, Korea, and Vietnam. Retired from Civil Service after 22 years at Strategic Air Command managing our nation's Military’s fuel supply. Enjoyed DIY projects, fishing, gardening, music, and animals. Preceded in death by wife of 40 years, Selma, son, Thomas Jr, sister, Ruth Miles, and parents. Survived by wife of 21 years, Linda (McPhillips-Griffith), daughters Karen (Nick) Lynch, and Deb (Eldon) Shiflett, son Robert (Rosalie), sister in law Julie (Duane) Rutherford, step children Gregg (Sherry) Griffith, Mari Griffith, David (Ashley) Griffith, and Daniel Griffith, nephew Tom (Susan) Miles, niece Beth (Paul) Peister, 13 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. Visitation Monday, May 19, 6 - 8 PM and Tuesday, May 20, 11am – 1pm with memorial service and interment to follow. Memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project. All services at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home. Interment in Westlawn Hillcrest Memorial Park.
