He grew up on a Western Kansas wheat field. Life eventually led him to seminary where his faith was strengthened, then Omaha, NE and Doris Theimer.
They were blessed with four children: Gloria, Anna, Daniel and Eunice.
He lived his life of faith by teaching and loving all his family. In the same way he loved tending his gardens, he sowed a tiny seed of faith in each of us to help us grow and bud and flourish.
Survivors include his children: Gloria Fletcher (Scott), Anna Hudson (Steve), Daniel Theimer and Eunice Baxter.
Grandchildren: Jonathan, Matthew (Marika), Hannah, Isaac, Leah Joy (Kyle) Kenkel & Samuel (Caitlin) Fletcher; Christian and Sebastian (Courtney) Baxter
Great-Grandchildren: Isabelle, Lincoln, Eliora, Finn, Lael and Adalee.
Funeral service will be Friday, December 12, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Westlawn Hillcrest Funeral Home located at 5701 Center St: Omaha, NE 68106. Pastor Amy Krejcarek will be officiating the service. Visitation will be at 12:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to the Open Door Mission, Omaha NE, in memory of Walter Theimer.
