
Warren Douglas Vaad April 9, 1945 - May 18, 2025 Warren Douglas Vaad, 80, passed away on May 18, 2025, in Omaha, Nebraska. Born on April 9, 1945, Warren graduated from Westside High School in 1963. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1966 during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he married and had three daughters. He held a variety of jobs over the years but enjoyed his time as a volunteer at the VA Hospital giving back to his fellow veterans the most. A lifelong Christian, Warren never missed listening to a Sunday service. He was an avid fan of the Creighton Blue Jays and the St. Louis Cardinals and had a deep love for baseball and horse racing. Warren is lovingly remembered by his brothers Glenn (Mollie) and Roger; his children Gretchen (Craig), Mary (Shane), and Karen (Eric); grandchildren Jordan (Aneisha), AnnaLea, Magen, Justin (Morgan), Jayden, and Kylie; and great-grandchildren Charli, Josie, and Maverick. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews who held a special place in his heart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Dorothy Vaad, and his brother Jerry. A graveside service will be held at Westlawn Hillcrest Cemetery on June 20th at 11:00 a.m. Memorials to go to Suncrest Hospice - thank you for your warmth, care and compassion!
