My father fought in the Korean war.. I would a large certificate I thought was odd as it said he had bought 1 share in "The Old Grey Mare"..growing up I knew that as a song and not much more but after looking into it i found the 109 infantry had pitched in to buy a horse for a captain or something like that and to do so they sold shares to the men. So my father was one of those men and part of the history of "The Old Grey Mare".

The light will always burn bright with thoughts of you....memories we can never forget....smiles and love....

To the entire Nuno family my sincere condolences.   I last saw Willie with another lost friend, Barney, at Angie's.   They shared many stories about their days growing up.  It was a great night. Both Willie and Lena epitomized little Italy and great family unity.  He was someone I had many memories of and I wish you all peace, comfort and prayers during this difficult time.

It will take us a while before every memory doesn't bring tears.. before the realization that we can't pick up the phone and call sinks in ..before we fully comprehend you are really gone.. but during that time we also will be comforted by the fact you are now at peace, no longer having to fight any battle, and with the woman you love and missed in your arms forever more. You left us with such wonderful memories, along with funny stories to tell all the grandkids down the line. And those winks, shrugs, and looks...still bring a smile to my lips. Many looked up to you and will follow by the example you left. You never gave up. Never gave in. Just as you always lived your life. We were very lucky we had you both as parents. We are very lucky we have you both to be watching over our children and grandchildren as they grow up. You can't ask for better angels guarding them then the 2 of you. You did leave me with a question.. what was the joke? You  said "that was a funny joke" and laughed with a big smile.. but never said what the joke was....saved for another day...love you Daddy.. you will be missed.. (wink)
