Our sincere condolences. Shirley and I were reminiscing this evening of Oregon Bible College. She mentioned Bill, and I went online to search. I was saddened to find the news that he just passed in Dec. 
It appears that we still  had a lot in common, from some of the comments.
His favourite phrase to me in college days was “don’t judge the ice cream until you have tasted it.
I was hoping to make contact, but I know I will see my old friend when Jesus calls me home. May God grant you His comfort and joy!

One of the great blessings of the 9 years we lived in Omaha (1981-1990) was meeting and becoming friends with Bill and Mary Paulson and their family.  We enjoyed their Christian fellowship and participation in Bible studies for nearly that entire time.  There was an affinity in that we both believed that all that God has promised about the future for humanity was based on His promise to Abraham:  “through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed. “  From Bill we learned a deep devotion to an accurate knowledge and understanding of the scriptures.  His Biblical knowledge was an asset to our studies.  His extensive library was also an asset from which he was willing to loan volumes to us.  While we sometimes had different interpretations and views on certain passages and doctrines, Bill and Mary were always respectful of those differences and we hope they experienced the same from us.  Our discussions were never contentious.  Growth in knowledge of God’s word comes from respectful discussions of different conclusions from our personal studies.  Our lives are better for having known Bill and the Paulson family.  May God comfort you today and in the days ahead.

I remember William from several family get togethers.  We actually share the same middle name--which I did not know before.   I wish to express my condolences to his family at this time.  I am about 2 weeks older than William, and my cousin Sharon who recently died was about 1/2 year younger.  Losing siblings and cousins tells you how fragile life can be.  We who have hope in our Savior, Lord Jesus Christ, can look forward to a future with Him.  Thanks be to God.

My memories will always be that Bill aka William was the one who sincerely introduced me to the Bible.  I will be forever grateful.  That and he made my awesome sister happy.   You were my "go to" guy when it came to difficult passages in the Bible.  I don't know what I am going to do without you.   


Always will remember William as "Bible Bill" and the times he would stop at my Fotomat booth and we would discuss the Bible and pass the time of day. He always had the love of God live out of him. He will be very missed!!!

Mary and family I want you to know how sorry I am to hear about Bill.  I know he will be deeply missed, but remember he is finally free of pain and at rest .  Times like this we have to rely on our faith and family and friends,  know I am there for you.

It has been an honor to have  shared Sabbaths an  Holy days with you. Your sharing an knowledge of the word an biblical history will be greatly missed.  Along with your stories.  May you Rest In Peace.   May  Yahweh  comfort and keep your family wrapped in his love.
