Winifred "Pauline" Rath was born on May 9, 1931 to Charles Nelson and Ethel Nelson Dawson in Highpoint Iowa. On December 25,1949 she married Joseph W. Rath Jr. in Creston Iowa. Born of this union were Joseph "Paul" (Bobbi) of Gardner, KS, Philip of Cameron MO, Phyllis (Mike) Farrell of Omaha, Pam Mathiesen, and adopted Frank.
Pauline was a foster mom to over 350 children, volunteered at Immanuel Hospital, Ronald McDonald house. She played Mrs. Claus next to Dad at many places. Pauline was MOM to many and Grandma to even more.
Pauline entered into eternal rest on May 4, 2016 at her home surrounded by family.
Pauline was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Joe, Son-In-Law Ervin Mathiesen, Grandchildren Chad Taylor and Sharon Lynn Wallock. She is survived by her children Paul (Bobbi) of Gardner KS, Philip of Cameron MO, Phyllis (Mike) Farrell of Omaha, NE Pam Mathiesen of Elkhourn NE Franklin of Omaha, NE 29 grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
