

Andrea was born on August 5, 1944 in Oneonta to Rupert and Christine (Russell) Sampson.
She graduated from Gilbertsville Central School in 1962 and upon graduation she enrolled in the Triple Cities School of Beauty Culture, Inc.in Binghamton and furthered her education at the oldest school of hair design in Canada, Bruno’s School of Hair Design, Toronto, Canada where she was taught by Vidal Sassoon. Later she taught advanced hair styling at Edwards School of Beauty in Oneonta. Andrea was employed at many hair salons in Oneonta also owing her own salons some of which she partnered with her sister, Susan Sampson.
Andrea will be known for her famous homemade desserts, her artistic abilities including painting scenery for the Melody Makers with her husband, Joseph as well as illustrating her own greeting cards and making Christmas wreaths.
Andrea had a great love of family including traveling to see her son, Andrew perform in the Toyota Hollywood Stunt Show. Andrea enjoyed spending time with her granddaughter, Eliza.
Andrea is survived by her sister, Susan Sampson; her daughter, Jessica Guerriero and granddaughter, Eliza Sorensen of St. Johnsville; son, Andrew Guerriero of Zanesville, OH; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, Rupert and Christine Sampson of Morris; husband, Joseph Guerriero; sister, Carol Lee and husband Ted Wheeler of Morris; and brother Gary and Sandra Sampson, of AZ.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. Burial will be at a later date in the Otsdawa Cemetery, Otego.
