
Oneonta - Ann Ivy Albertson, 58, of Unadilla passed away peacefully on July 17th after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. Born December 30, 1953, in Buffalo, NY, she was a daughter of Edgar and Grace Albertson. Ann graduated from Hunter College and held a variety of positions in Information Technology Management over a long and accomplished career; she was an active member of the Project Management Institute.
Ann was an avid gardener, a superb baker, and an animal lover who cared for many family pets during her life. She was a kind caregiver and gardener for elderly family and neighbors as well.
In 1991, she married Ted Chandler, who survives at home. She is also survived by two stepsons, Brannon Chandler (Schenectady) and Ryan Chandler (Queens), brother Ralph (Gloversville), brother Earl and wife Sally (Clairmont, Fl), and sister Joy and husband Mike Webber (Rochester). Ann was predecessed by brother Larry (Gainsville, FL) and sister-in-law Lois (Gloversville). Ann is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be private. The family is planning a memorial service later this summer to celebrate Ann's life, with arrangements yet to be finalized.
