Anna Mae Jacobs

She was born December 19, 1931 in Schenectady, NY the daughter of the late Clinton and Nancy (Hugaboone) Rifanburg.

Anna married Ronald Jacobs on July 3, 1950. Ronald predeceased her on March 19, 1999.

Anna was a people person. She loved socializing and made many friends wherever she went. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an Elvis fan. But most of all, she loved being with her family.

Anna is survived by her children, Nancy (Robert) Allen, Maryland, Bruce (Mary) Jacobs, Frankford, Debbie (Donnie) Fuller, New Berlin, Barry (Kerrie) Jacobs, New Berlin and Pamela Benhoff and fiancé, Dan Brown, Frankfort; 19 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Betsy Rose Wheeler and Samuel Dean Clark; and two brothers, Clinton and Richard Rifanburg.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 8, 2015 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 1:00to 3:00PM. Funeral services will immediately follow at 3:00PM. Burial will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 11:00am in the West Schuyler Cemetery, Utica. Memorial donations in Anna’s name may be made to either the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502 or to the A.O. Fox Nursing Home, 1 Norton Ave, Oneonta, New York 13820.

The family wishes to acknowledge and express gratitude to our mom’s friends at Nader Towers and Robynwood that brought much joy and laughter to her life and the support of Dr. James Walker, the A.O. Fox Nursing Home, and the A.O. Fox Hospital during the last month of Anna’s life. We are all so grateful.
