Audrey Elizabeth Wenck

She was born October 15, 1944 in Oneonta the daughter of the late John A. and Frances Mabel (Burgher) Jubar.

She married Russell S. Shaver and together they had four children, Carlene, Donna, John and Amy. In 1979 she married Edward Wenck, Jr. Edward predeceased her in January 2001.

For many years Audrey worked at Kings & Barkers and then at Pyramid Liquors. She was an avid baker and was a great cake decorator, making wedding to birthday cakes. Audrey also helped with raising children that she babysat for several years.

She was fun loving. Audrey was the happiest surrounded by her family and friends. She loved being involved in their lives. She was a “mother” to a lot of people.

Audrey is survived by her four children, Carlene and Buddy Rimes, Donna Bond and Rick Fisher, John Shaver and Amy Shaver; daughter-in-law, Leona Shaver; seven grandchildren, Brittany, Mandie, Christopher, Tiffany, Victoria, Kadison and Camryn; 13 great grandchildren; seven siblings, Doris and Chuck Holcomb, Richard and Peggy Jubar, Dolores “Punky” and Roger Dibble, Sharon Phelps, Mary Jane and Bill Buel, Dan and Rose Jubar and Robert Jubar; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Audrey’s life will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the First United Methodist Church, Unadilla.
