Barbara Solovitch

She was born January 7, 1958 in Oneonta the daughter of the late Richard Bruce and Jane Rosetta (Stilson) Champlin. Barb grew up in the Franklin area. She graduated from Oneonta High School the Class of 1976.

Barb was the Assistant Branch Manager at Sidney Federal Credit Union on Oneida Street for 26 years until her retirement in June 2023.

Barb and Andrew rekindled their love for one another and were married on May 20, 2017.

Barb enjoyed reading, watching the Hallmark Channel, going for rides with Drew on the trike and sitting on the deck listening to the birds and watching the wildlife. But what brought her the greatest joy was her family especially her grandchildren. She cherished the time she got to spend with each of them.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Andrew Solovitch; three children, Jane (Dan) Utter, Kristopher (Taka) Solovitch and Teri Solovitch (Chad Phillips); eight loving grandchildren, Kaede, Becca (Brett), Tasha, Rylee, Ashton, Dylan, Seth and Austin; five siblings, Bob (Carly) Champlin, Claudette Champlin, Ardie Champlin, Rich (Shelley) Champlin and Kevin (Shawna) Champlin; two brothers-in-law, Tim Solovitch and Mark (Kelly) Solovitch; one sister-in-law, Lynne Field; as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by one sister, Nina (Donald) Miller; and one nephew, Adam Pierce.
