Bertha M. Jacques

She was born September 30, 1940 in Oneonta the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle (Alger) Davenport.

Bertha graduated from Oneonta High School the Class of 1959.

On December 6, 1959, Bertha married Raymond Jacques. Together they have celebrated 65 years of marriage.

She was a waitress at Bresee Health Bar for 35 years until they closed and then she went to work at A.O. Fox Memorial Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 2005.

Bertha is survived by her husband, Raymond Jacques; three children, Jeffrey Jacques, Laurie Jacques (Inez Dornon) and Jacqueline Card (Darwin, Jr.); four grandsons, Jason Jacques (Cindy), Jared Jacques (Michelle Kalb), Justen Card and Daniel Card; four great grandchildren, Zoey Jacques, Owen Jacques, Sawyer Jacques and Bailey Rae Jacques; one sister, Rosemary Beers; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings, Cora Mae Kelsey, Geraldine Kelsey, Doris Layman, William Davenport, Robert Davenport and Catherine Edwards.
