Carl was born on October 16, 1928 to the late Eber and Clara (Todd) Delameter.
He married Florence (Henderson) Delameter on November 17, 1951. They spent 66 years together.
Carl served in Germany in the US Army as a 1st Sergeant from 1950-1952.
He was employed by the Daily Star for over 40 years, starting as a paperboy and retiring as Composing Room Foreman.
Carl served over 30 years with the Town of Oneonta. His most enjoyable part of service was being Deputy Town Supervisor. He also organized and started BSA Troop 91.
Carl will be best remembered for his love and affection for his family, friends, church, golf, any dessert and Sunday night ice cream runs and the Dallas Cowboys.
Carl is survived by his wife Florence (Oneonta), Children James (Nancy) Delameter, Webster, NY, Linda (Terry) Stiefel, Oneonta, NY, Cathleen (Andrew) Deubler, Lewisburg, PA. Grandchildren: Brian (Kathleen) Delameter, Kevin Delameter, Zachary, Mackenzie, Abby, Griffin Deubler. Great granddaughters Alida and Ellie Delameter.
He is predeceased by his parents and sister Myrtle Blenis.
There will be a Celebration of Life on October 13, 2018 from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Plains, Oneonta. At 2:30 there will be a remembrance service.
