Claudia H. LeoGrande, 68, of Oneonta, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.

She was born on May 24, 1951 in Providence, Rhode Island, the daughter of Gordon and Carole (Bougourd) Aldrich. She married John A. LeoGrande on January 4, 1975.

Claudia was a life-long cat lover. She also collected Boyd and Barrington Bears, and miniature oil lamps.

She is survived by her husband John; her daughter, Jackie Whispell; her son, Christopher LeoGrande; grandchildren, Marysa LeoGrande, Synthia Knapp, and Harry Whispell; her sister, Carla Garvey; mother in law, Mary LeoGrande; sister in laws, Sandra (Pat) Welsh, Anne Speranzi, and Diane (Frank) Russo; cousin, Charlotte (Skip) Brockway; many nieces and nephews; and her beloved cat, Jessie.

She was predeceased by her parents, and her father in law, Anthony (Tony) LeoGrande.

A graveside committal service will take place at 11 am at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, on Friday, August 16, 2019, with Rev. Paul Messner officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Claudia’s memory are asked to be made to the Susquehanna SPCA, 4841 NY-28, Cooperstown, NY 13326.
