He was born January 21, 1936 in Oneonta the son of the late Clifford Yager and Elsie (Hungerford) Shumway.
Clifford proudly served his country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict.
For many years he operated Clifford Yager Painting.
He was an outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing.
Clifford is survived by his children, Linda Yager Salisbury, Schenectady, Allen and Silvia Yager, Schenectady, Clifford and Christina Yager, Tennessee, Randy and Kim Yager, Worcester and Tim and Deb Yager, Kansas; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; 3 brothers, Francis and Yvonne Yager, Guilford, Wayne and Dorothy Yager, Esperance and Darrel and Joan Yager, Union Springs; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, James Yager.
A graveside memorial service with military honors will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 1:00 PM in the Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta with the Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating.
