Connie married Jerry Losie on May 18, 1968 they shared 37 years of marriage, until Jerry passed on April 3, 2004.
Connie was a special lady in many ways she danced to her own music. Nature and animals were her best friends. She always had a smile and words of encouragement to all she met and could always make the worst situation seem trivial. One of Connie’s favorite quotes that she lived by was “We may not have it all together, but together we have it all.”
In Connie’s early years, she worked for J.C. Penney’s, and waitressed at Rainbow Gardens. For the last 43 years she worked for Hartwick College and was still there at the time of her death. Her fellow workers were her second family, who she held close to her heart.
Some of Connie’s passions in life were stain-glass making, abstract painting, wood burning, and reading. Springtime was her favorite time when all her flower gardens would come into bloom. NASCAR was top on her list. For years, Sunday at the Losie residence consisted of New York Giants football and Connie cooking for her boys. Then 2 years ago her nieces, Nikki and Melissa, opened her eyes to the wonderful world of football and after that it was someone else doing the cooking and Connie yelling, “Go Giants!” And last but least, she loved dancing with her dear friend, Rob Polley.
Connie is survived by her children, Duane Buzzy, of Oneonta, James Losie and his wife, Jacky of Davenport and Ron Losie of Davenport; her beloved grandchildren, Shannon Losie and his wife, Christina, Ashley Buzzy, Morgan, Calla and Cody Losie, Kyley and Corey Strub, and Gregg Wormuth; her great grandchildren, Cadence and Madison Losie, and Addalyn Strub.
