He was born December 23, 1961 in Delhi the son of George Van and Ruth D. (Cobb) Coss.
Dan graduated from Delaware Academy, Delhi and went on to further his education receiving several degrees.
For many years, Dan worked as a dispatcher for TDS a transport company in Illinois.
He had a passion for farming and was a hobby farmer. If you knew Dan you knew what a generous, kind hearted and humble person he was. He had a joyous laugh and a heart as big as his belly. He loved people and talking to them about the Bible. He was one of Jehovah’s Witness. He also liked to have fun and play cards (sometimes cheating to win). But the greatest joy in Dan’s life came from his family especially the time spent with his daughter, Alexandria.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Nichols, Wells Bridge; mother, Ruth Voorhees, Watkins Glen; siblings, David Coss, Polly Anna Proctor, Penny Bishop, Edward Oliver, Jamie Oliver, Jodey Oliver, Mike Oliver and Tammy Gage; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
