Daniel Allen Coss

December 23, 1961February 28, 2020

Daniel Allen Coss, 58, of Wells Bridge died Friday, February 28, 2020 at Albany Medical Center, Albany.

He was born December 23, 1961 in Delhi the son of George Van and Ruth D. (Cobb) Coss.

Dan graduated from Delaware Academy, Delhi and went on to further his education receiving several degrees.

For many years, Dan worked as a dispatcher for TDS a transport company in Illinois.

He loved people and talking to them about the Bible. He was one of Jehovah’s Witness. He also liked to have fun and play cards (sometimes cheating to win). But the greatest joy in Dan’s life came from his family especially the time spent with his daughter, Alexandria.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Alexandria Nichols, Wells Bridge; mother, Ruth Voorhees, Watkins Glen; siblings, David Coss, Polly Anna Proctor, Penny Bishop, Edward Oliver, Jamie Oliver, Jodey Oliver, Mike Oliver and Tammy Gage; as well as many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020 from 6:00 to 9:00 PM in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3985 State Highway 23, West Oneonta, New York. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

I just heard about Dan's passing. Dan sent many trucks to manufacturers for the company I work for. I enjoyed talking with him every opportunity I had. He had a big heart and bigger smile. May you all find peace in memories. Rest easy Dan - you will be missed!

Dan is my nephew. He will be missed often.
A very kind and generous person. Loved his daughter, Alex to the max.
Very sociable person. Enjoyed sharing his bible hope with all he met.
I know he’s sleeping and waiting for Jesus to wake him up.

I was Dan's neighbor for over 10 years. He was a great guy. He would always tell me how much he loved watching my children grow up. He will be missed. All my best to Alex and the rest of the family.

I worked with Dan for about 20 years in the transportation industry. He was a great friend and we confided in each other almost weekly up to the time of his untimely death. I will miss him terribly...all the laughs and fun we had through the years! Miss you already Dan!
