Danny L. Gillingham

He is survived by his father Lynn Gillingham; siblings Vicki Judd, Richard, Gordon, Connie, Sandy and Sherry and their families; several Aunts, Uncles, Nephews, Nieces, and cousins.

He was predceased by his mother Lillian Fisk Gillingham; and stepmother Joan Gillingham.

Danny was a friend to many and had a heart of gold. He cared about how people were treated. You would see him walking around town with his rolling suitcase. He enjoyed taking the bus to other towns in the area, often to visit and help some elderly friends in need. He loved taking pictures and looking over older pictures of family. He also liked spending time at the library.

He wrote many letters to the Editor of the Daily Star. In fact the day after he passed there was a letter from him primarily about "any day could be our last". He was a regular at the Lord's Table and Speedway. Danny will be missed by many.

In honor of Danny, donations may be made to Catholic Charities of Oneonta.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Sunday September 11th at 4pm at Spirit and Truth on Country Club Rd in West Oneonta.
