Elizabeth L. "Beth" Betancourt

She was born March 13, 1967 in Canoga Park, CA the daughter of the late William and Marion (White) Oraine.

Beth graduated from Mohave High School, Bullhead City, AZ. After moving to the Oneonta area she attended SUNY Delhi where she received her degree in Veterinary Science. She was a vet tech at Valley Veterinary in Sidney.

After almost 20 years together on October 9, 2015, Beth married Yamir Betancourt in Las Vegas, NV. They were very much in love and she was the love of Yamir's life.

Beth was the most kind and loving person. She loved all animals but most of all she loved her family.

Beth is survived by her loving husband, Yamir Betancourt, Oneonta; one son, William Oraine and fiancé, Marlalee Sheehan, Portland, ME; one step-son, Aaron Betancourt, Oneonta; one granddaughter, Blake Snell, Portland, ME; one sister, Kat (Bob) Palisi, Oneonta; mother-in-law, Sonnia Betancourt, Las Vegas, NV; father-in-law, Jose Betancourt, Vera Cruz, Mexico; brother-in-law, Damian (Dawn) Betancourt, Las Vegas, NV; her four legged companions, Biscuit, Stella, Brandy, Belle and Midnight; as well as several nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, April 24, 2017 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 5:00-7:00 PM.
