Evelyn was born August 23, 1924 in Westford, the daughter of Arthur and Nina (Strong) Wood. She married William R. Schaffer on November 21, 1942. He predeceased her on May 10, 2011.
She is survived by a son and daughter in law, Jeffrey W. and Theresa (Chicorelli) Schaffer of Catskill; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A graveside funeral service will take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 1 pm in Glenwood Cemetery, Oneonta.
