Florence H. Delameter

Florence was born April 9, 1927 daughter of Lester and Cecile Henderson. She married Carleton J. Delameter on November 17, 1951, spending 66 years together.

Florence was a child care provider for more than 20 years, affectionately known as “Momma D”. She was leader of the Chestnut Chipmunk 4-H club, and also volunteered at Fox Hospital for many years.

Florence will be best remembered for her love and affection for her family, friends, and baking cookies.

Florence is survived by her children, James (Nancy) Delameter, Webster, NY, Linda (Terry) Stiefel, Oneonta, NY, and Cathleen (Andrew) Deubler, Ridgefield, CT. Grandchildren: Brian (Kathleen) Delameter, Kevin Delameter, Zachary Deubler, Mackenzie (Matthew) Walker, Abby (Alexander) Haduck, Griffin Deubler. Great grandchildren: Alida and Ellie Delameter and Bensen and Rosemary Walker. Many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Carl Delameter, her parents, 3 brothers and 7 sisters.

Florence and Carl will be interred at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on October 17, 2025.
