Frances Marion All

Frances Marion All, beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, and Aunt, passed away at her home in Oneonta on Thursday, December 1, 2011 after a brief illness. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and that she lived life to the fullest and on her own terms.

Fran was born in Maryland, NY on July 3, 1924 and lived the majority of her life in the Oneonta area. She retired from the State University College of Oneonta after thirty years of service.

Fran was an avid bowler, cross country skier, and golfer and was a long-time member at Cee-Jay Golf Course. She completed the 70-mile Canoe Regatta with her life-long friend, Anne Vergari, at the age of 58. Fran also enjoyed traveling, cooking, playing bridge, and playing poker with her Thursday Night Group. She looked forward to apple picking with family at Lake Taghkanic each Columbus Day weekend.

Fran is survived by her loving family including her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Michael Brannick; her grandchildren, Brian and Meghann Brannick and Tracy Brannick-Casey; her great-granchildren, Lucas and Mya Casey.

She is also survived by her sisters, Thelma Forester and Louise Jacobsen; her brother Leland Utter and many nieces and nephews.

Fran was predeceased by her parents, William and Ruby Utter; her daughter, Barbara All; and her brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Betty Utter.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 pm on Friday, December 9, 2011 at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta, at which time the family will be in attendance.

A private memorial service will be held for family on Saturday.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that memorial contributions be made in Fran’s memory to: Catskill Area Hospice and Palliative Care, 1 Birchwood Drive, Oneonta, NY 13820.

Arrangements are by the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, Oneonta.
