

She was born March 3, 1936 at home in Oneonta, NY to Walter Thomas Renwick and Mildred (Keator) Renwick.
She attended and graduated from Oneonta High School in 1954.
Francine worked at Breezes Department Store part time at age 16 years until 1954 then worked full time until 1955 when she went to work for N.Y. Telephone Co. She was laid off in 1960 when the new building was up and running. She worked at the then Bendix in Sidney from 1960 to 1967. Returned to N.Y. Telephone Co. in 1967 until her retirement in 1992. She worked her way up from an operator to a manager during her time there. She is a life member of The Telephone Pioneers.
Francine was a member since 1967and Past President of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 259 from 1971-1973. Her father, Walter was the Legion Commander and her mother, Milfred was the secretary while she was in office. She was a former member of the Oneonta Business Women’s Club and she was a former member of the Royal Rebecka Lodge in Oneonta.
She was a former member of the First Baptist Church in Oneonta for 50 years. She taught Sunday School and sang in the choir and worked on the membership committee there. When the church closed, she changed her membership to the River Street Baptist Church.
Francine raised her great-nephew, Ryan Michael Renwick from the age of two.
Francine’s family includes her brother, Walter R. Renwick and his wife, Barbara Renwick and her brother, Edward T. Renwick, Sr. and his wife, Betty Renwick; nephew, Edward T. Renwick, Jr. and Nancy; nieces, Catherine Willey and family, Lisa Richards and Brian and family, Wendy Loucks and Todd and family, Vickie Alapeck and Gregg and family and Christine Kusko and her sons, Ryan and Sam and family; and friend, Daniel Knapp, father of Sam. She was predeceased by both parents and both brothers.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00 am in the funeral home with Rev. Stephen D. Fournier officiating. Burial will be in the spring in the Hartwick Seminary Cemetery, Hartwick Seminary.
