He was born December 14, 1946 the only child of Vera (Leigh) Loucks and Kendall F. (Scrappy) Loucks.
Gary graduated from Oneonta High School Class of 1965. In October 1966 Gary served in the US Army during Vietnam War with the 1st Infantry Division until December 1967. In October 1969
Gary began working at the Oneonta Police Department until February 1991 when he retired in June 1991 as a Sergeant after 21 years of service.
Gary would like to send a special thanks to, Kathy, Todd, Stacia, Noah, Steve (Louie), Mark (Sid), Deb, Dave and Jan. This is all Gary has to say!
Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 20, 2025 in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta from 4:00 to 6:00 PM. It is Gary’s request that all those in attendance dress in casual attire.
