Genevieve Darling

Genevieve Darling, 74, of Oneonta passed away Sunday, January 15, 2023 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown. She was born June 21, 1948 in Decatur the daughter of the late Julian Allan and Laura Belle (Ingram) Votee. She married Patrick Darling, Sr. on January 9, 1966. Patrick predeceased her on November 20, 2019. Genevieve was a homebody. She enjoyed staying home and cooking and baking for her family. She liked to play BINGO. Genevieve is survived by her four children, Barbara Darling, Jean Darling, Patrick Darling, Jr. and Michelle Darling; 12 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; seven siblings, Carolyn Mills, Donna Dibble, Doreen Davis, Sharon Speenburg, Roger Votee, Ronald Votee and Julian “George” Votee; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Michael Hermanson, Jr.; and her sister, Diane Davidson. At Genevive’s request there will be no services.
