Howard Oliver Jr.

Howard was born in Oneonta on November 19, 1943 to Howard Oliver, Sr and Grace (Burgher) Oliver. He married Polly (Coss) Oliver on August 18, 1963.

Howard loved his children and grandchildren and all other little ones. He loved to fish, hunt and dance. In Treadwell he was known as the "Lawn Mower Man" and enjoyed working on cars and trucks. He had a wonderful sense of humor, always friendly to everyone. He spent 8 years in the Fox Nursing Home and was called "The Mayor" because of his greeting everyone in the lobby.

Howard is survived by his wife (Polly) of 62 years; children - Mike (Phyllis) Oliver, Edward (Katie) Oliver, Jodey (Brenda) Oliver, Jamie (Jennifer) Oliver, Tammy (Scott) Gage; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; beloved nieces and nephews, and many that were adopted by love.

He is also survived by his brother, Robert Oliver of Sidney, NY.

He was predeceased by 4 sisters, Mary Ruling, Helen Barlow, Ruth Ann Allen, Beverly Davenport; and 1 brother Gordon Oliver.

A celebration of life will be held on October 18, 2025 from 2-6 PM at Babcock's, 2220 NY-7, Wells Bridge, NY 13859.

A short talk will be given at 2:30 PM.

All of Howard's friends and family are welcome to come.
