Ira Burgher

He was born July 2, 1946 in Oneonta the son of Willard Burgher and Louise Monroe.

On April 10, 1982, Ira married Kandy Hunt in Oneonta.

For 21 years Ira could be found at Pizza Hut making pizzas and everything else that they offered. But in 2008 he decided to retire and spend more time with Kandy and his family.

He enjoyed fishing with his brother, Joe, hunting, watching and collecting eagles and most of all, going out dancing with his daughter, Louise.

Ira is survived by his wife, Kandy; daughters, Louise and Anthony Huffman and granddaughter, Savannah, Tina Burgher Moreau and grandsons, Sabastian, Mackenzie and Gavin, and Jessica Marie Burgher; sisters, Evelyn and Rodney Jester, Anna Goodspeed and Betty and JR Robinson; half-brother, Chester DeCarr; one sister-in-law; three brothers-in-law; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Liz Montanya, George Burgher, Frances Ward and Joseph Burgher; and brother-in-law, Robert Goodspeed.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
