Jack Hand

He was born November 16, 1946 in Oneonta the son of the late Herbert and Kathleen (Grant) Hand.

Jack attended Unadilla Central School. For many years he worked at Oneonta Nursing Home in the kitchen until his retirement.

Jack married Bunnie L. Gallup at their home on July 29, 1995.

He enjoyed being outdoors, dancing (especially the Polka) and the many family get-togethers. He especially loved his dogs, Zoey and Molly.

Jack was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Oneonta.

Jack is survived by his wife, Bunnie Hand, Oneonta; four children, Jack, Jr, Herbert, Becky and Chris; two step daughters, Michelle and Mike Stocking, Cherry Valley and Kim Snyder, Oneonta; one grandson, Nathan Snyder, Oneonta; two sisters, Sylvia Clohecy, Binghamton and Susan Wilson, Pensacola, FL; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one brother, Ronald Hand.

At Jack’s request there will be no calling hours or services.
