John was born on January 28, 1958 in Johnson City the son of William G. and Nancy A. (Spencer) Snyder.
John served his country in the US Air Force for 16 years, and was discharged as a Staff Sergeant.
John enjoyed hunting, golfing and being with his family.
He is survived by his children, Joshua and Jamie and their mother, Micha, also Roxanne and her children, Leif and Ericka; his sister, Julie and her children, Michael and Katie.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 from 3 to 5 pm at the Lester R. Grummons Funeral Home, 14 Grand Street, Oneonta. A memorial service will follow at 5 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Teressa Sivers, officiating.
