Kathryn H. Daley

Kathryn H. Daley, 82, of Maryland passed away on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 at the Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown. Born June 24, 1929 in Olyphant, PA, she was the daughter of the late Leland and Emily (Naegell) Hoggarth.

Kathryn married David K. Daley on October 9, 1965. She was a teacher at the Baldwin Public Schools for 38 years until she retired in 1990. She was a member of the Baldwin Retired Teachers Association, the NYS United Teachers, and Milford United Methodist Church. She was an avid reader and was active in the Milford reading program at the Milford Central School. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them.

She is survived by her husband, David; her daughter and son in law, Lee Anne and Joseph White of Maryland; her grandchildren, Emily, Andrew and Michael White; and her cousins, Diane Praschak of Taylor, PA and Paula Berry of Oldsmar, FL.

The family would like to thank the staff at Bassett Healthcare and the Catskill Area Hospice for all their wonderful care.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St. Oneonta. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, 11:00 AM with Reverend Mary Ellen Moore, Pastor of the Milford United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be held immediately following in the Milford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Milford Fire Department or to the Milford United Methodist Church.
