She was born in Oneonta on April 3, 1968, to Lawrence and Mary (Smith) Weill.
She was a professional hair stylist for many years at Breesee’s Department Store, and also worked at A.O. Fox Hospital in medical records, which she enjoyed.
Kathy will be most remembered for her great love and tender soft spot for all animals, as well as the birds that visited her yard. She got very upset with any type of animal abuse. She had many pet dogs and cats throughout her life and loved them all fiercely. She shared her parents’ love of spending time outdoors enjoying nature, as well as tending to plants and the garden.
She loved her sister Marie’s macaroni salad (no onions!) and often requested that for any get together. She enjoyed sisters’ Kelly and Carol’s dinners and baked goods and always looked forward to trying their concoctions, hopefully judged with ‘this is a Yum!’.
She is survived by and was also a loving sister to Marie (Charles) Hoag, Kelly (Michael) Arcidiacono, and Carol Weill, Aunt to nephews Tate, Randy , Wade, and Matthew, and niece Alicia (with whom she had a special bond), loving partner to Bob, and cousins and extended family.
She was predeceased by parents Lawrence and Mary Weill, as well as many aunts and uncles.
In loving memory to Kathy (Kate), in lieu of flowers, her family is asking that donations given in her memory be considered to Super Heroes Humane Society, 160 Pony Farm Rd Oneonta, NY 13820 or the local SPCA.
