Kahlil was such a kind soul, we were never very close but I recall a time at The Sip where we ran into eachother after not seeing each other for years, he was socializing with his friends but still made it a point to make sure I wasn't there alone. He never forgot about anyone. It feels so surreal to know he's gone. Rest in peace, king.

I remember mostly that we had his younger sister in our preschool class and there were times when he would bring or pick up his sister from school. Most older brothers are annoyed or don't want to bother with a younger sister but he always showed love and devotion to his sister. Love and prayers for remaining family. Karen Braman

I'll always remember the first day I worked with you at the factory,I asked you what your name was....my ears heard Khalua...that's what I called you thereafter! RIP sweet boy!

One of the sweetest kids I didn’t not get an opportunity to know better. You were always so kind, calm, cool and collective. I’ll literally never forget you saying my name and the excitement in your voice when you did. God, you just always seemed so happy. There’s people I see everyday, and I can’t quite remember their voice the way I’ll always remember yours. Fly high sweet Angel, and tell my Mema your mom’s sweet potato pie recipe if you see her, she loved her pie 💕

Khalil always had this smile that lit up a room. We unfortunately didn’t spend much time together, but we used to ride the same bus home for a while. He always had me in stitches on the ride home. He was never mean to anyone and made my bad days better. I can’t express how much I appreciate the little time he was a part of my life. Fly high.

I remember for a while when I was younger he lived with us and was always the life of the party, waking up seeing kahlil just made everyone’s day I’m the house so much brighter 🥺 I used to call him jungle Jim just because of how he towered over me. He never not once not had a smile on his face.

Khalil had a beautiful, irreplaceable soul. He was not shy to be himself. He was not shy to turn heads. Khalil came in to my life around 2010 and stayed as close as ever up till the end. He was my skating buddy, then when I was old enough to go to the bars he became my drinking buddy. I remember when I was like 14 we made it our goal to get kicked out of Walmart. He thought it would be hilarious to get on a bunch of vacuum cleaner boxes and every time someone passed he’d say “Buy A Vacuum Get A Free Black Man.” Of course people got offended but the majority of them stopped and asked for photos. You had to know him to understand his humor. He was always there when you needed. He lit up the room as soon as he entered. He helped my sister and I with my sisters oldest daughter while her father was out of the picture. If we couldn’t get her to sleep he’d come over and hold her to his chest and rock her to sleep. He made it his goal to promise happiness, love, and health to all his friends and family. Love you Khalil! I’ll never forget you Brother, may you Rest In Peace. ❤️
